Of the 13 mandatory holidays in 2027 (Labour Code, article 234), 8 fall on weekdays and 5 on a weekend: Easter Sunday (Domingo de Páscoa) on Sunday, March 28; Freedom Day (Dia da Liberdade) on Sunday, April 25; Labour Day (Dia do Trabalhador) on Saturday, May 1; Assumption of Mary (Assunção de Nossa Senhora) on Sunday, August 15; and Christmas Day (Natal) on Saturday, December 25. Portuguese law does not move a holiday to a weekday, so 2027 has 253 business days.

Easter 2027 is March 28, which puts Good Friday on March 26, Carnival Tuesday on February 9 and Corpus Christi (Corpo de Deus) on Thursday, May 27. Carnival is optional under article 235: whether you get it depends on your employer or on the government's yearly tolerância de ponto, so it is outlined, not filled.

Long weekends in 2027: New Year's Day (Ano Novo): Friday, January 1 to Sunday, January 3; Good Friday (Sexta-Feira Santa) and Easter Sunday (Domingo de Páscoa): Friday, March 26 to Sunday, March 28; All Saints' Day (Dia de Todos-os-Santos): Saturday, October 30 to Monday, November 1. With one day of leave as a bridge (ponte): Corpus Christi (Corpo de Deus): Thursday, May 27 to Sunday, May 30, taking Friday, May 28 off; Portugal Day (Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas): Thursday, June 10 to Sunday, June 13, taking Friday, June 11 off; Republic Day (Implantação da República): Saturday, October 2 to Tuesday, October 5, taking Monday, October 4 off.

Municipal holidays are left out because each municipality has its own. In 2027 Lisbon's Santo António (June 13) falls on a Sunday and São João in Porto and Braga (June 24) on a Thursday; turn on the notes column to add yours.

1. Pick a layout: the whole year on one sheet (for a wall or the fridge), one month per page (12 pages with room to write) or two months per page (6 pages).
2. Pick paper and orientation. A4 (210 × 297 mm, ISO 216) is preselected because it is the standard paper in Brazil and Portugal; switch to US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) if that is what your printer holds. 3. Press Print / Save as PDF. In the browser dialog keep scale at 100% ("Actual size") and turn off "Headers and footers" so the URL does not print on the page.
4. To keep a file instead of paper, choose "Save as PDF" as the destination. For a black-and-white printer turn on ink saver: holidays get a black outline instead of a blue fill.
