Of the 10 national holidays in 2027, 7 fall on weekdays and 3 on a weekend: Labor Day (Dia Mundial do Trabalho) on Saturday, May 1; Black Consciousness Day (Dia Nacional de Zumbi e da Consciência Negra) on Saturday, November 20; and Christmas Day (Natal) on Saturday, December 25. Brazilian federal law does not move holidays to a weekday, so those dates give no extra day off, leaving 254 business days in the year.

Carnival 2027 is February 8 and 9, Ash Wednesday (February 10) runs until 2 pm, and Corpus Christi is Thursday, May 27. None of them is a national holiday: they are optional days for the federal civil service and holidays only where a state or city law says so, which is why they are outlined rather than filled.

The federal ordinance listing the 2027 optional days is normally published in late December 2026. The calendar marks the ones every ordinance repeats (Carnival, Ash Wednesday, Corpus Christi and Public Servant Day on October 28); extra bridge days appear only if the 2027 ordinance adds them.

State holidays and city holidays are not shown because they differ from place to place: Lei 9.093/1995 lets each city set up to four religious holidays, Good Friday (March 26 in 2027) included. Turn on the notes column to write in your local ones.

1. Pick a layout: the whole year on one sheet (for a wall or the fridge), one month per page (12 pages with room to write) or two months per page (6 pages).
2. Pick paper and orientation. A4 (210 × 297 mm, ISO 216) is preselected because it is the standard paper in Brazil and Portugal; switch to US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) if that is what your printer holds.
